OpenCode Zen is the optional model gateway the OpenCode team runs. You do not need it to use OpenCode; it is a curated list of models they have actually tested as coding agents, including a set that is free.
Sign in, copy the key, call opencode.ai/zen/v1. The documented Free set is six ids — Nemotron Ultra, Lightning, MiMo, Ling Flash, big-pickle, Muse Spark. DeepSeek V4 and GLM 5.2 on Zen are paid. Free ids can be promotional and go away.
